AT LEAST 196 patrolman recruits in the Cordillera region were formally recognized by the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Cordillera in a ceremony held at the Wangal Sports Complex in La Trinidad, Benguet.

Brigadier General Joselito Vera Cruz, Philippine National Police(PNP) Finance Service director, led the recognition ceremonies for 161 males and 35 females who underwent the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC).

Police Officer 1 Hebert Dani of Ifugao, who was one of the recognized recruits, said his positive perception and outlook in life allows him to achieve what he has accomplished as member of the PNP.

"I am happy because with the number of applicants, I was fortunate enough to be one of the recruits which have been formally recognized as a patrolman. My message to the juniors and incoming applicants is to have faith in God," Dani said.

The newly recognized patrolman urged other aspiring policemen to maintain positive attitude, manage the challenges in life, and accept all the hardships in trainings provided for by the police organization for new recruits.

The new officers will be turned over back to the Cordillera Administrative Region Training School where they will undergo another six months of field training program.

After completion of the one year training, they will be qualified for permanency as Police Officer 1 receiving a basic monthly salary of P29,668 aside from allowances and other benefits.

The new recruits will beef up the manpower complement of the police regional office to further strengthen PNP capabilities.
