SCHOOL children who love chess will have a grand time pitting wits anew with the ChessMoms CDO presenting “A Tribute to the Youth: SMEscalera Chess Festival” on August 24 at 2nd floor Green Lane of the Limketkai Mall, Cagayan de Oro City.
Events on tap are the K1 to Grade 1 (boys and girls), Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7 and Grade 9-10 also for mixed boys and girls.
For each category, the champion will receive P2,000 plus trophy with the second and third placers out to get P1,000 and P500 apiece.
Registration is pegged at P200.
