Senior nabbed for illegal possession, selling of firearms

A SENIOR citizen is facing charges for illegal possession and selling of firearms in Sitio Combol, Barangay Mabigo, Canlaon City, Negros Oriental, Wednesday afternoon, August 21.

Intelligence operatives of the Canlaon City Police Station arrested Jose Necesito Cabales, also known as Joe, 60, in an entrapment operation on Wednesday.

Cabales allegedly failed to present legal documents of the confiscated firearms.

Recovered from him were two units of improvised 12 gauge shotgun, a steel magazine, three pieces of 12 gauge shotgun ammunition, and a piece of sack.

He will be charged with violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. (WBS)
