Good food, good music

DAVAO’S urban lifestyle hotel treated its guests to a wonderful and festive vibe during their pre-Kadayawan celebration which also coincides with their anniversary celebration on July 24 right before the month turns to August.

Seda Hotel general manager Ken Kapulong said that it has been the tradition of the hotel for six years now to conduct such activity to attract the festive energy and as thanksgiving as well.

Guests enjoyed an array of food and good music.

He also announced the exciting activities in store in connection with the annual festivity.

“We always do this ahead of the usual Kadayawan celebration. This is our way to party and mingle, and celebrate with our clients, with our partners and supporters of Seda Abreeza,” he said.

It is a sneak preview of the exciting offerings that they prepared for Dabawenyos and tourist who will be visiting the city to join in the celebration. During the event, everyone enjoyed the good food, specialty drinks inspired by local fruits like pomelo with exquisite flavor. The guests were likewise entertained by local band Mebuyan Mindanaw.

Present during the activity were Department of Tourism (DOT)-Davao director Tanya Rabat-Tan, Davao City Tourism Office head Generose Tecson, Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (DCCCII) President Art Milan and its former president Captain Ronald Go.

“I am not from Davao but I am telling you I was born in Bulacan but my heart is a Dabawenyo,” Kapulong said.

Kadayawan is a celebration of the 11 tribes of Davao City and bountiful harvest of the city. This year, what makes it special is that they partnered again with the Malagos Cheeses, Malagos Chocolates, and the Philippine Eagle Foundation.

Seda Hotel as adopted Diola a Philippine Eagle, and for this year, they finally adopt officially a Philippine Eagle named Mayumi as part of their advocacy in sustainability and preservation of wildlife in line with their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Seda will provide Mayumi’s assistance such as meals, medication, and care to sustain its life and survival.

“We’re very happy. This is our way to contribute back and give back to the environment,” he said.
