9 nabbed in Bacolod drug busts

NINE drug personalities were arrested in separate drug busts by operatives of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in Bacolod City on Monday, May 21.

Around 5 p.m., operatives of Police Station 2 neutralized Maria Clovel Oro, 32, of Barangay 2.

Police Captain Leo Estopa, chief of Police Station 2, said Oro was caught selling “shabu” (metham to a police undercover in Purok Kagaykay, Barangay 2.

Police recovered from Oro’s possession 14 sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P48, 000 and the P200 marked money.

Operatives of Police Station 6 also arrested Ildie John Encarnacion, 28, of Barangay 27, at Purok Fatima, Barangay 31 at about 6 p.m.

Police recovered from Encarnacion’s possession five sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P15,000, the P500 marked money, pouch containing P200, and cellular phone.

At 9:50 p.m., operatives of Police Station 7 also arrested Benita Villahermosa, 40, Santillan Villahermosa, 46, Arnold Gelacio, 34, Johnray Chua, 27, Noel Federico, 46, all residents of Barangy Taculing; Jomar Apili, 28, and Jaeson Apili, 22, both residents of Barangay 40.

Police recovered the suspects’ possession eight sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P47, 000, and the P300 marked money.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facilities of Police Stations 2, 6, and 7 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (MAP)
