SEDA Bacolod Joins Tanduay’s Rum Fest with drinks promo

SEDA Capitol Central Bacolod celebrates with the Tanduay Rum Festival with its drinks promo. Available at its bar, Straight Up, the promotion runs from August 17 to 24, the duration of this year’s festival.

From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., guests can buy two Cuba Libre or Rum & Mangga cocktails, and get one drink for free!

Guests who pair any of their rum or rum-based cocktail to any of the bar’s food items, meanwhile, will get a 20 percent discount on their food pairing of choice. The discount only applies to a pair of one rum drink and one food item.

The Tanduay Rum Festival is the first of its kind in the Philippines. A partnership between the City Government of Bacolod and Tanduay Distillers, Inc., it aims to pay homage to the humble sugarcane, the source of the world’s number one rum.

The festivities, which kicked off last August 17, also seek to highlight the skills of the Filipino in the visual arts, culinary arts, mixology, dance, and music.

It will cap off its first year with a free concert at the New Government Center Grounds at 8 p.m. Slated to perform are iconic rock band Sandwich, Mike Smith, Idol Philippines’ Dan Ombao and Miguel Ordon, and Bacolod’s Project Juan, Barbie na Doll, and Cali Island. (PR)
