P90,000 ‘shabu’ seized in Barangay 12

AN ESTIMATED P90,000 worth of suspected “shabu” or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust conducted by operatives of Police Station 1 at Purok Masinadyahon, Barangay 12, Bacolod City Thursday evening, August 22.

The operation also led to the arrest of the five drug personalities identified as Emil Orolan, 26, of Barangay 12; Mark Trujillo, 40, of Barangay 14; Lolito Villarito, 32, of Barangay Handumanan; Rothel Mahinay, 32, of Barangay Handumanan, all of Bacolod City; and Kerwin Celiz, 32, of Barangay Guinhalaran, Silay City.

Police Major Jovil Sedel, chief of Police Station 1, on Friday said Orolan and his companions were arrested after they sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police undercover at 10:30 p.m.

Police recovered from the suspects’ possession eight sachets of suspected shabu, the P100 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Sedel said Orolan was identified as high value target in Bacolod City, and they were under surveillance for almost a month before their arrest.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 1 and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
