Leo Rey to siblings: Be sincere in reconciliation move

LEO Rey Yanson, also known as LRY, challenged his four siblings: Roy, Celina, Emily and Ricky to show sincerity in their reconciliation move to end the family feud.

The family owns the biggest transport company in the country, Yanson Group of Bus Companies (YGBC). The family is currently in a feud on the management of the Vallacar Transit, Inc. (VTI) which is under the YGBC which owns the Ceres buses along with four other bus companies.

“To my siblings in the other camp, if you really love our mother, please be sincere in your actions. OVY (Olivia V. Yanson) eagerly awaits all of you. Do it now please, while she is still with us,” pleads Leo Rey.

In his statement Friday, August 23, LRY related their late father, Ricardo B. Yanson saying, “Respect is earned, not given!”

Family relationships, business dealings, and human relations thrive on respect as a solid, indispensable foundation. Respect runs deep, and is the aortic component in every family, without which, everything crumbles in a whiff, he said.

He added that their parents built Ceres from scratch. “Allow her to enjoy the fruits of her hard-earned labor. Legally and morally, OVY owns VTI, OVY owns Ceres, he pointed out.

“Honestly, I don’t know, what is the basis of the Yanson Four in claiming that there is no quorum. For our end, in our possession are the real corporate documents consisting of the VTI Stock and Transfer Book, Stock Certificates, among others. A simple mathematical computation was enough to determine quorum and to proceed with the order of business. There was no way for us to be wrong. Anent the authority to call for a meeting, I maintain that I was never legally ousted as President. Between the August 19, 2019 meeting and that of the July 7, 2019 directors’ meeting conducted by the Yanson Four, the former must prevail,” Leo Rey added.

Notwithstanding the foregoing declarations and legal positions, LRY said that along with OVY and GYD, they are still hopeful that Emily, Celina and Ricardo Jr. will join the call of my elder brother Roy in the latter’s plea for unity, reconciliation and healing.
