FOR the early part of the year, there were reports from the weather bureau about a weak El Niño affecting the country, which had led to drought in some provinces and widespread water supply problems (up until now), possibly extending until the end of 2019. However, the climate seems to have changed its mind and proceeded with the “rainy season” as typically scheduled. Rainy days could be considered bad weather or otherwise—depending on one’s mindset—and there are activities that are conducive to this kind of weather.
