FROM its “can’t-be-missed” neon sign for “Instagrammable” photos to its all-day brunch specialties paired with specialty grade coffee, Bicester Café continues to be a go-to place for a lot of people.

Founded by father-daughter tandem, Jerome and Rejzl Awit, Bicester provides that balance of being a space to enjoy brunch while catching up on one’s agenda. At the same time, it is also a place to hang back and enjoy a cold one with friends after a long day—or before the day starts! No judgment.

“We are very grateful on turning two because we love seeing how Bicester has become a ‘go-to’ place for a lot of our customers. This inspires us to always do our best for our customers,” Rejzl said.

In line with its second year celebration, a new selection of coffee cocktails were launched during its anniversary last Aug. 16: the “Irish coffee” cocktail, coffee fused with whiskey for that extra kick; the “Morning Rooster,” a mix of coffee, Kahlua with a bit of vodka; “Mexican Coffee,” espresso and vanilla with a splash of tequila; “The Truffle” drink, a merry mix of chocolate, espresso and martini; and the “Wake Up Call,” for when you need a boost with some booze.

“We already have some coffee cocktails since we opened, but the number of customers spending time in Bicester during the happy hours inspired us to add more to the menu. This is also in line with Bicester’s vision, which is to be a place where people commune at any time of the day—breakfast, brunch, dinner, coffee hours and happy hours,” she added.

There are also plans to open a second branch set to open this year.

“Our second branch will have a different ambiance and will be bigger than the first. We will also be adding more specialties on the menu.”

Bicester Café is located at Mahogany Arcade, Pope John Paul II Ave., Kasambagan, Mabolo, Cebu City and open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
