TEAM Bryan Cares defeated the SJB, 48-40, in the championship game of the Mantuyong Basketball League 2019 in Mandaue City on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019.
Mark Sanchez, Kevin Pontanar, Noel Velasquez, Enrique Tampus and Malcolm Sanchez did most of the damage for Team Bryan Cares, which broke away in the final period to secure the seniors’ division crown.
In the juniors’ division, the Payag Warriors slammed the Reynalyn Merchandise, 37-28. The Warriors led all the way en route to winning the crown.
Meanwhile, the Izzmel Transport bagged the midget division title after pulling off a closely contested 45-42 win over the KJ Niños.
The annual basketball tournament was organized by Brgy. Mantuyong councilor Bryan Sanchez to keep the youth active in sports. (RSC)
