University gets innovative teaching award

A UNIVERSITY at the Clark Freeport recently received an award for its technological innovations in teaching.

The Holy Angel University (HAU) received the Visionary and Strategic Leadership Award from the Aralinks Awards 2019 last week in recognition of its aggressive use of technology in classroom instruction.

The awarding ceremonies were part of the "Aralinks Leadership Academy: Solidifying Goals, Inspiring Action (ALAGA) 2019" convention held at the Clark Marriott Hotel in this freeport.

Phoenix Aralinks is an instructional technology integration program of Phoenix Publishing House for innovative teaching and effective learning. It aims to support schools to effectively integrate technology into the curriculum, extending learning in powerful ways.

Among the 300 participants to the convention, HAU was listed in the top five users of innovation in transforming students into digital citizens.

Attendees to the convention were administrators, supervisors, and coordinators from various private schools in the Philippines.

HAU representatives during the convention were Alberta Supan, Senior High School (SHS) assistant principal; Ma. Teresa Punsalan, Kinder to Grade 10 assistant principal; Ana Ruby Perez, Junior High School English coordinator; and Brielene Mallari, SHS Math coordinator. The event was attended by administrators, supervisors, and coordinators from various private schools in the Philippines.
