AUTHORITIES are set to file criminal charges against a 36-year-old man arrested for allegedly killing a Jesuit volunteer teacher and wounding her companion in Pangantucan, Bukidnon late last week.

Police said the suspect, Arnold Naquilla, of Barangay Lantay, will likely face robbery with homicide and frustrated homicide charges.

The 24-year-old volunteer teacher identified as Genifer Buckly, resident of Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur, did not get to the hospital alive after sustaining stab wounds on her chest, stomach and back.

Buckly's companion, Anne Kathleen Gatdula, 30, a Socio Enterprise Officer from Quezon City, survived the incident. She sustained lone stab wound and is now recovering in the hospital.

Police said Gatdula positively identified the suspect.

Investigators said the motive of the incident was robbery.

The suspect is now detained at the detention facility of the Pangantucan town police.
