DOCTOR of Veterinary Medicine Roberto Puentespina Jr., more popularly known as Dr. Bo, hosted his last bird show last Sunday, August 26, at the Malagos Garden Resort in Malagos, Baguio District, Davao City.
Dr. Bo, who has been hosting the show for seventeen years as well as the show’s creator himself, announced his resignation as host of the show during the same event to fully concentrate on his other venture.
With this, the Malagos Garden Resort will temporarily have no bird show but it announced that it will relaunch the bird show during the fourth quarter of this year, with the exact date yet being finalized.
Ira Sisa Aparra, Public Relations and Social Media officer of the Malagos Garden Resort, said during a press conference after the show, Dr. Bo has already turned over the responsibility of the bird show to the resort. She added that the new bird show will be a transition from the bird show Dr. Bo hosted.
Aparra also added that the bird show relaunch will still be true to the resort’ s goal of “educating the audience of the importance of the bird in our ecosystem and the significance of the human beings’ action in preserving and caring of our environment.”
