A SERVICE-oriented group recently donated food supplements to Mabalacat City Government in support of its feeding program.
The Angeles City Clark Balibago Lions Club (ACCBLC) handed over 50 cartons of micronutrient powders worth P182,952 to Mayor Crisostomo Garbo.
ACCBLC president Sol Flores Jr. said they recognize the efforts of the City Government in addressing malnutrition and hunger in children.
"We are proud to continue our partnership with the City Government of Mabalacat by addressing hunger on this occasion," Flores said.
Lions Club is an international organization that aims to provide service for the betterment of local communities.
Meanwhile, Garbo thanked the group for its donations.
"The aid of the Lions Club is significant in growing our contributory and participatory governance," Garbo said.
The City Government's supplemental feeding program aims to complement children's nutritional needs.
City officials, led by Garbo, regularly visit various elementary schools in the city to provide young students with healthy food.
