TROPICAL Storm Jenny has left 31 villages in Pampanga flooded, said the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO).
The PDRRMO said that 20 barangays in Masantol and seven barangays in Macabebe have been flooded.
A three feet-high flooding has been reported in Macabebe also due to monsoon rains and high tide.
The PDRRMO also reported two flooded barangays in Apalit and another one in Candaba.
Heavy rains also flooded Purok 5 in Barangay Santa Monica, San Simon town. Reports said the lack of drainage system in the area made the flooding even worse.
Classes in all levels, both public and private schools, in Masantol town were cancelled Thursday, August 29, due to flooding.
The PDRRMO also reported that last Monday, August 26, heavy rains along with a twister damaged nine houses and one vehicle in Barangay San Carlos in San Luis.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), meanwhile, has lifted all storm wind signals nationwide, as Tropical Storm Jenny has left the country's territory.
Pagasa said light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains will be experienced over Luzon due to the prevailing Habagat.
Sea travel remains risky over the seaboards of Luzon and the western seaboard of Visayas due to potentially rough sea conditions, it said.
