1 'most wanted' person surrenders; 1 arrested in Eastern Visayas

AT LEAST one most wanted person voluntarily surrendered and another was arrested in Eastern Visayas Wednesday, August 28.

Police said that Rodolfo Angelo Tilos, 33, a resident of Purok-6, Barangay East Awang, Calbayog City, Samar, personally appeared and submitted himself to Calbayog City Police Station around 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Tilos has a standing warrant of arrest dated December 15, 2018, for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165.

The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Reynaldo Clemens of Regional Trial Court 8th Judicial Region, Branch 31, Calbayog City. No bail was recommended.

In Lavezares, Northern Samar, police arrested Jilly Porlage, 37, widow, a resident of Barangay Villa, Lavezares, around 8:25 p.m. Wednesday.

He was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest dated August 16, 2019.

Porlage was charged with violation of Article 315 of the Revised Penal Code for estafa.

Porlage was brought to Lavezares Municipal Police Station prior to his turnover to the court of origin. (SunStar Philippines)
