A brand established in 2017, Bodyworx Medical Spa aims to redefine the spa and beauty experience not just by providing top-notch treatments, but by educating its patients. Its founders, aesthetic doctors Andy and Sugar Mantilla, stressed the importance of scheduling—especially for its first-time patients—in order for them to be able to have a sit-down conversation with them, giving them a step-by-step detail before proceeding; time well spent.
“We believe that aestheic medicine is not merely about glamour, fashion and money. We believe in making a difference in our patients’ lives through proper patient education. We do take time to talk to our patients. Even our simplest facials up to date takes at least two hours. We never rush our patients,” Dr. Sugar said.

A technology used to further address skin concerns during the consultation is the Visia Analysis. It analyzes things that people do not see with their naked eye for more detailed information about a patient’s skin problems requiring attention; which goes to show Bodyworx’s thorough approach for a more personalized treatment.
The medi-spa offers various medical treatments combined with pampering spa treatments designed for its patients to feel refreshed and confident, like signature and medicated facials, anti-aging treatments, slimming treatments, nail spa, tattoo removal, to name a few.
Some of its treatments include SilkPeel, an advanced skin-resurfacing treatment that improves the skin through formulated serums with no downtime; the Vitamino facial that uses a mix of anti-oxidants and anti-aging techniques infused to give the skin that glow; and the non-invasive treatment called Ultherapy that utilizes the Ulthera® System for that natural lift of the skin on the neck, chin and brow without disrupting the surface of the skin.
The brand started in a clinic set up in an apartment at Apas, Lahug until deciding to find a new home; setting its sights on Solinea Tower 1, located in the center of Cebu Business Park. The new place is spruced up like a hotel with four treatment rooms, a nail spa and a drip area that has infusion pumps that regulates and controls the flow of the drip. It carries that hotel luxe feeling, mixed with that laid-back vibe for that comfort and ease.
BodyWorx Medical Spa is located at Unit 1 of Solinea Tower in Cebu Business Park and open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Monday to Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
