Enye turns 2

ENYE by Chele Gonzalez boasts a wide selection of modern and classic Spanish fare thoughtfully curated by the renowned chef, and has since captured the hearts of food connoisseurs. Now it has reached its two-year mark, and strives to continue to provide that quality food and service it is known for.

“When we opened Enye, we wanted to make sure that we mastered the cuisine and service to guarantee the consistency of both. As we started serving more and more guests, we were able to build on that foundation, and fortunately, we slowly built the good reputation we now enjoy for both the quality of our food and service,” shared chef Chele.

“On top of mastering our craft, we attribute our success as well to choosing comfort food—dishes that resonate to many guests; unpretentious and simply delicious. Also, carefully analyzing the feedback from our guests on what they liked best.”

In line with the celebration, its culinary team put together a special anniversary menu for the month of August. It’s a four-course dinner beginning with the white snapper and scallop ceviche with strawberry gazpacho; followed by the first course which is the rock lobster with cauliflower textures and garlic butter; grilled beef tenderloin with potato terrine and porcini jam as the second course and caramelized milk brioche with anise ice cream for dessert.

The traditional menu is based on chef Chele’s favorites, whereas the chef’s menu evokes a modern take on dishes utilizing techniques that he’s learned over the years, fusing local ingredients with local heritage. In a nutshell, Enye’s menu stems from chef Chele’s heritage and comfort food.

Enye by Chele Gonzalez, SunStar Best of Cebu 2018 Restaurant of the Year, is located at Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan, open daily from 6 to 10:30 p.m.
