Saint Louis, Berkeley opens bid in Milo twin tourney

SAINT Louis University Laboratory High School (SLU-LHS) and Berkeley School opens their bid September 1 as the 34th SBP Passerelle Twin Tournament backed by Milo will officially kicks off at the Easter College Gym.

SLU-LHS Team A will open their campaign against Baguio City National High School in the passerelle division at 8 a.m. after the short opening program at 7:30 a.m.

SLU will also field its Team B in the passerelle division with Berkeley, Saint Louis School Center (SLSC), University of Baguio-Science High School, and University of the Cordilleras.

SBP defending champion Berkeley meanwhile starts its title retention bid on September 7 against rival Mabini Elementary School as they are bunched in bracket A together with title contender SLU Laboratory Elem. School and SLSC.

In Bracket B are Lucban Elem. School, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Montessori, Pugius Elem. School, and Saint Louis College La Union.

The SBP division is for players Under-12, while the Passerelle is for Under-15.

For more than 30 years, the SBP/Passerelle Twin Tournament provides an avenue for young cagers to apply what they learned from basketball trainings and showcase their skills in the court.

The tournament features unique rules wherein a team must field a new set of five players for each for the first three periods and the coach may then play any combination he wishes for the final canto, thus guaranteeing each player a minimum of 10 minutes of court time.
