IN CELEBRATION of National Heroes Day, a photo competition was held last August 24. Our local heroes took center stage and were immortalized in beautiful portraits by Baguio photographers.
Winners in the DSLR category were: 1st place Mark Cyril Sim “Their Burden Our Light”; 2nd place Homer Ivan Tiamzon “Preserving nature for our future generation”; and 3rd place Richard Cachero Jr. “Life on the Line”.
Winners in the Mobile category were: 1st place Wyldricks Learning Center/Angeliza Arciga “Push mo yan Teach”; 2nd place Alejandro Verzosa “Rainbow of Hope”; and 3rd place Joriel Solenon “Think Globally Act Locally”.
The judges were Josef Karl Lopez, Troy Monsod and Fitz Murphy Quintin. The crowds’ favorite photo was “Spider-Dads”. The activity was led by Hoteliers Joey Reyes and Johanna May Lopez.
