OVY to Yanson 4: If you are sincere let us meet with empty hands

“IF YOU are sincere let us meet with empty hands.”

This is the challenge of the Yanson matriarch Olivia Villaflores Yanson (OVY) to her four children Roy Yanson, Emily Yanson, Ricky Yanson, and Celina Yanson Lopez relative to the reconciliation that has been heard the past few days amid the family feud.

In a statement, OVY said, “it is unwise to impose pre-conditions and make them public if you are genuinely, truly sincere in your intention for reconciliation talks. Roy and Celina appear to be imposing conditions in their statements for a possible reconciliation”.

OVY added that as suggested by Roy to stop issuing public statements and instead discuss family issued behind closed doors, but she noticed that Roy himself with Celina and Ricky had been issuing statements to draw public sympathy which seem to have the pattern of provoking and telling the whole world that they are the victims of these mess.

OVY also said while Roy met her on August 18, “but in our two hour discussion, he never said sorry and never told me that he will gather his siblings to start the reconciliation process. He went to invite and convince me to attend the wedding of his daughter Casey in Bohol this coming September.”

“How can we reconcile when he set conditions that they will not return my shares or give me voting rights which I have been asking from them?” OVY asked.

She said her children forgot how they acquired those shares.

“When they were in need, I was there for them. Roy has been attesting to that especially when he was starting a family. I and their father have been generous to them to make sure that they live a comfortable life. Now that I am already old, they cannot reciprocate it as their mother?” OVY added.

She also questioned why Celina demands only now for justice relative to the P380-million missing funds after the SGV report came out.

She added that Celina has not cooperated in previous audits on missing funds until the SGV report came out.

“After the audit report came out, you run to your other siblings and claim you are bullied and I am playing favorites,” OVY said of Celina.

“Can we stop talking about these issues in public for now and discuss family issues on the table in private? You are clearly showing your arrogance in public that you want your mother to kneel and beg before all of you. Or else, I would like to think that the reconciliation you are telling the public is merely lip service,” OVY told her four children. (TDE)
