DIHANG nipanaw ang amahan sa 21-anyos nga si Lester Corpin Toledo, didto siya naningkamot og maayo aron mahuman ang kurso nga Mechanical Engineering.
Usa ang amahan ni Lester sa iyang inspirasyon nga mahuman ang maong kurso ug makab-ot ang iyang mga pangandoy.
Si Toledo kinsa lumad sa Biliran, Biliran mao ang top 1 sa labing uwahi nga resulta sa Mechanical Engineer Board Exam kinsa tinun-an sa Cebu Institute of Technology - University (CIT-U) nga nakasungkit sa grado nga 94.65%.
“I am very overwhelmed by the results! Although I hoped to be part of the top ten, I really did not expect to emerge as top 1 considering the level of difficulty of the board examination. I am just so happy and thankful for this wonderful blessing!” si Toledo kinsa nahinabi sa Superbalita Cebu.
Wala usab gi-ang-ang sa CIT-U tungod kay upat ka mga graduate niini ang nasulod sa top 10 sa maong board exam nga giluwatan sa Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Sabado, Agusto 31.
Lakip nga anaa sa top 10 sila si Reginald Luther Orbiso Sinay nga anaa sa top 3 sa grado nga 92.95%, Noel Christian Cabrera Dela Cerna sa top 7 sa grado nga 93.05%, ug si
Damacino Luna Sarte Jr. sa top 10 sa grado nga 92.45%.
“Actually, it was not really my childhood dream. Back then, I really wanted to become a lawyer. It was only in high school when I was inspired to pursue engineering when my brother enrolled to a Civil Engineering program. I knew I wanted to pursue engineering but it was not planned to really pursue mechanical engineering. I think it was just a quick decision that I had to make during enrollment (which is common for freshmen) and I just had to love what I chose to pursue,” dugang ni Toledo.
Si Toledo ang kinamanghuran sa tulo nila ka mga managsuon, “My late father was a secondary public school teacher. My mother, although she finished a bachelors degree in education, decided to take care of the family as a housewife.”
Dugang niini nga sa Sugbo lang siya nagtungha aron makalampos sa kurso nga Engineering.
Sila ra sa iyang igsuon ang Engineer sa pamilya tungod kay ang ilahang kinamagwangan nga igsuon usa ka nurse.
Namatay ang amahan ni Toledo niadtong Disyembre 2017 apan nagpabilin nga inspirasyon niini iyang inahan ug pamilya, “Family jud akong main inspiration. Ang pagkawala ni papa akoa pud gihimo na reason to strive harder.”
Posible nga pasidunggan sa CIT University si Toledo uban ang laing tulo nga nasulod sa top 10 sunod semana.
Sa pagkakaron wala pa makatrabaho si Toledo apan gusto niini mamahimong consultant sa research and development.
