Come to Cooee

A mutual love for food and travel among friends birthed Cooee Philippines. With this shared interest, the group wanted a common space where they can bond over good eats in a laid-back ambiance, while sharing this space with the public as well.

The name Cooee is from the Australian slang meaning “come here.” As its name suggests, the cafe welcomes everyone to dine and chill with friends and family. The cafe is, in fact, reminiscent of the tropical vibes of the island. Its beach hues and vintage touches that surround the entire place set the mood for a relaxing time with those who matter.

Cooee’s mission to build a healthier community resonates with its menu that the proprietors personally came up with and is entirely inspired by their travels as they recreate their favorite dishes from around the world. This go-to place for an everyday bake, brew, blend and juice ritual offers hearty breakfast meals from rice bowls, sandwiches to waffles along with healthier options like its smoothie bowls, yogurt bowls and poke bowls.

Baked goods, freshly brewed coffee and nutritious juices and shakes are also available to order.

A few of its bestsellers: the Big Breakfast Combo, a combination of longganisa, spam and bacon with plain rice, sunny-side up egg and two slices of orange; the Acai Berry, another crowd favorite made of acai berry with mixed berries, banana and yogurt and topped with granola, shaved coconut, mango, kiwi and chia seeds; and currently in season, the cafe’s Ohana Bowl, an avocado and sashimi combo mixed with carrots, cucumber, white onions and cherry tomatoes.

More than just a dining place, the 35-seat cafe hosts private events and organizes fun gatherings such as trivia night, singles night and music night. Cooee’s weekly activities include best photo on Instagram where winners get to win free gift certificates. And as this is an establishment that promotes comfort and a place to call home, the cafe purely welcomes fur babies, too.

Cooee Philippines is located at the lower ground floor of Raintree Mall, F. Ramos St., Cebu City. The cafe is open Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m.
