THE Technical Education and Skills Development authority (Tesda) has honored exemplary individuals, partners and institutions at it marked the agency’s Silver Anniversary on Friday, August 30.
Vincent Atienza Cifra, Tesda regional director, said the regional office got its fair share as the Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Training Center in Sindangan town bagged the Best Provincial Training Institution Award.
Cifra said that Nurmina Gaite of Tesda-Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Office received a certificate of recognition as national finalist and 1st runner-up in the search for Model Employee for showing a positive attitude, passion and commitment towards work and personal development.
He said the second congressional district of Zamboanga Sibugay was one of the Kabalikat Awardees through the leadership of Dr. Dulce Ann Hofer, who played a vital role in the passage of the law, Republic Act 11197 converting Kabasalan Institute of Technology into Zamboanga Sibugay Polytechnic Institute and for her dedication to uplift the social status of her constituents.
He said the yearly awards were given to properly recognize those who have helped the agency in pursuit of quality technical education and skills development to its clienteles. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
