CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- An international milk tea brand opened its first branch in Pampanga at a shopping mall over the weekend.

Macao Imperial Tea (MIT) opened its first store in the province at SM City Telabastagan on Saturday, August 31.

MIT owner Luke Menor said he wants to build relationships with his customers by making his tea shop as a meet-up place for friends or family.

Menor's co-owners are Koreans Judy and sister Jinie Kim, and her husband, Paul John Romeral.

Originally from Macau, MIT features a unique mixture of Taiwanese tea, Japanese matcha, and the Western-style of adding cream cheese to its bubble tea.

Some of their bestsellers include cream cheese milk tea, cheese uji matcha, and black pearl milk tea.

Aside from milk tea, MIT also serves coffee, chocolate drinks, and colorful sodas.

MIT has more than 350 branches all over the world including Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Canada, the United States of America, and the Philippines.
