A 26-YEAR-OLD man was killed from a shooting incident at Purok Zone 5, Brgy Concepcion, Talisay City, Negros Occidental on August 31.
The victim was identified as Argie Santillan, single and a resident of Hda. Angeles, Barangay Concepcion, Talisay City while the suspects were identified as Roger Jimenez, 40 years old, a resident of Purok Zone 5, Brgy Zone 5, Concepcion, Talisay City and Christopher Jimenez, single, 38 years old also of the same address.
Based on police report, the victim was drinking with his father at a store while the suspects were also drinking on a separate table. When the victim bought another beer, a verbal altercation ensued between the victim and suspect Roger Jimenez which resulted to a fistfight. Suspect Christopher Jimenez struck the victim’s head with an empty bottle and Roger Jimenez shot the victim hitting the latter’s mouth.
Victim was brought to Talisay City Health but was declared dead on arrival by the duty physician while suspects were able to fled the scene by riding a motorcycle going south direction.
Meanwhile, a 15 year old and Grade 9 student was killed in a vehicular accident August 31, 2019 at about 3:10 in the afternoon at Purok Caimito, Brgy. Odiong, Moises Padilla.
Based on the report of Moises Padilla PNP, an Isuzu Dropside Truck driven by Marchel Salboda, 20 years old of Purok Casava, Brgy. Odiong, Moises Padilla was travelling from South to North direction and accidentally hit the victim who sustained serious injury and was immediately brought to Moises Padilla Infirmary Hospital and later on was transferred to Isabela District Hospital for further treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Said driver and his driven vehicle are under the custody of Moises Padilla Municipal Station.(TDE)
