Residents want MisOr Cares back

AMID the call to continue the operation of Misamis Oriental Cares System (MisOr Cares), Governor Yevgeny Emano assured residents that the Provincial Government can still provide assistance through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development (PSWD) and from their respective municipal government.

"Walay serbisyo ang MisOr Cares, naay serbisyo gikan sa PSWD," Emano said.

"It (PSWD) has always been a partner sa MisOr Cares. Ang atong social welfare ang mga financial assistance, kinahanglan sa lungon, I think they can go sa local government units. Pwede sila moadto sa ilang mayor kay naay pondo pud ilang mayor. Ang dili lang makaya, pwede diri sa among PSWD," he added.

MisOr Cares, the flagship health care program of Emano, was put on hold pending study of the Universal Health Care Law (UHCL), which will have its pilot launch in the province.

Emano said he sees two sides of the discontinued operation of MisOr Cares.

"Positive, because I think, people now came to realize nga we all need MisOr Cares. And negatively, because I know that they want MisOr Cares but how I wish I will be able to give it to them now but I cannot," Emano said.

"I understand that lisod siguro sa pipila nga na suspend meantime ang atong Misor Cares, gitawag pa'g ayo og 'MisOr Kill' sa atong kaatbang," he added.

Meanwhile, upon the possibility of the continued operation of MisOr Cares, Emano said they will have to study the UHCL on what services they can provide to avoid duplication and waste of funds.

"Gusto pud namo maipahibalo nga on the way na ang gipirmahan ni presidente Duterte nga Universal Health Care and gusto nako mahibaw-an kun asa taman ang services nga itunol sa Universal Health Care kay kun duna pay posibilidad, kay posible naa posible wala, nga mabalik ang MisOr Cares, mangita mi'g pamaagi kun asa di mag duplicate, madoble, ang serbisyo nga ihatag sa Universal Health Care para dili mausik ang pondo sa lalawigan kay tungod dako kaayo ang pondo daan sa national," Emano said.

"Wala tay fixed nga date until such time nga mag launch, anyway dili ta mabalaka kay kita man ang pilot sa Universal Health Care," he added.
