STL resumes operation

THE Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has ordered Super Lucky Beagler Inc. (SLBI) to resume its operation of the Small Town Lottery (STL) in Negros Occidental effective September 1.

PCSO General Manager and Vice Chair Royina Garma has informed Jexter Mercado, president of SLBI, through a letter dated August 30, about the approval of the President on the resumption of STL operations.

"You are advised to faithfully comply with your duties and obligations under the STL Agreement/Deed of Authority," Garma stated in his letter.

The STL operation in the province and other parts of the country was stopped last month upon the orders of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Other operators of STL in other provinces have reportedly not yet resumed operations due to pending review of their contracts.

The STL draws are held in Silay City.
