CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Personnel of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon recently participated in a financial literacy seminar sponsored by the Armed Forces and Police Savings and Loan Association (AFPSLAI) held at The La Bella Plaza, Tarlac City.

At least 54 PRO-Central Luzon personnel participated in the said seminar dubbed “Financial Literacy and Start-up Business Seminar” which discussed topics related to managing personal finances and businesses.

According to regional finance service III Chief Colonel Marlou Roy Alzate, the seminar aims to provide knowledge to PRO-Central Luzon personnel on managing their finances, particularly their salaries effectively and efficiently.

“This one day seminar, which is another learning experience for us is indeed timely and beneficial as we gained additional knowledge on how to manage our finances effectively and efficiently especially now that our salaries have increased. This will be our guide to better handle and spend our hard-earned money for us to have a better way of living,” Alzate said.

Aside from policemen, finance officers from different law enforcement agencies including the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Army, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology and Bureau of Fire Protection were also in attendance.

Famed inspirational speaker and financial consultants Jayson Lo and Francis Kong facilitated the said seminar wherein they gave in-depth discussions on practical tips on how to get financially organized, how to plan finances, and ways and options to save and invest.

Department of Trade and Industry-Tarlac officer Ronald Pacled also conducted an orientation on entrepreneurship and an open forum to further shed light on the business-related questions of participants.
