‘Pyestang Fernandino’ plans bared

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – City Government officials and representatives of multisectoral groups have revved up preparations for “Pyestang Fernandino” 2010.

In the recent press conference at Heroes Hall, Mayor Oscar Rodriguez and Fiesta Executive Committee Chairman Captain Conrado Pacla presented the plans and activities for this year’s grand celebrations themed “Fernandino: Abe, Abe…keng Tula at Tagumpe (Fernandino: Altogether in Joy and Victory).”

The theme takes on the line of jubilation and sharing the triumphs following the city’s garnering a series of regional, national and local awards.

According to City Tourism Officer Ching Pangilinan, the whole month celebration, which will culminate on the feast day of San Fernando on May 30, will be participated in by the private sector and the various departments of the City Government.

This year, the celebrations will kick off with the traditional cycling caravan and the famed “El Circulo Fernandino” that will gather the city’s distinguished and prominent business, social and government leaders.
