TWICE to beat Arthur John Galendez rolled over challenger optometrist Virgilio “Billy” Magdale, 206-179, in their championship match to annex the Datba August monthly finals tournament title at SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center over the weekend.
Galendez hit a total of 1,315 pinfalls to grab the top spot after the six-game elimination round.
Joshua Disuacido garnered 1,135 pinfalls to grab the second spot followed by Magdale (1,134) and Art Galendez (1,138) who placed second and third, respectively.
In the step-the-ladder round, No. 3 Magdale subdued No. 4 Art Galendez, 165-151. Magdale then set up an encounter with No. 2 Disuacido whom he toppled, 186-177, to face Arthur John Galendez in the finals.

Cash prizes of P10,000, P4,000, P2,000 and P1,000 were awarded to the top four winners. They also received trophies.
Rod Tongo clinched the top qualifier award while Disuacido also won highest single in the qualifying and Arthur John Galendez bagged the highest single finals title.
