CAMP Bado Dangwa -- Five suspected drug dealers and four gamblers landed in jail after they were separately nabbed in a series of police operations in the Cordillera.
Operatives of Bangued Police Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) arrested four persons after a concerned citizen informed the police of the ongoing pot session at Beneza Compound, Zone 1, Bangued, Abra in the afternoon of September 2, 2019.
Arrested individuals were identified as Jewel Daipan Guinay, 20 and a resident of Zone 1, Bangued, Abra, and three minors ages 17 and 16 years old, all ALS Student and residents of Bangued, Abra. Also seized were one small transparent cellophane containing suspected marijuana, assorted drug paraphernalia, and four cellular phones.
In another operation, drug suspect identified as Reynaldo Rosario Pensayo, 47, tricycle driver and a resident of Sitio Banbani, Brgy. Padangitan, Danglas, Abra was arrested in a drug bust in the early morning of September 3 at Rizal St., Zone 7, Bangued by joint personnel of Bangued police, DEU personnel of Abra PPO, RID PROCOR, RIU 14 and PDEA Abra.
Confiscated from his possession were two transparent heat sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), P1,000 cash, assorted drug paraphernalia, one cellphone, one lighter, and one folded knife.
Four bettors were arrested in a billiard hall at Gusaran, Camp 6, Tuba, Benguet in the morning of September 1 by the joint personnel of Tuba police and Intelligence personnel of Benguet PPO.
Arrested gamblers were identified as Jimly Pago, 28; Alex Tao-ey, 30; Jerry Liclic, 56; and Clifford Dasing, 35, and all residents of Gusaran.
Confiscated from the suspects were P380 bet money and assorted mahjong paraphernalia. (SunStar Baguio)
