Novero elected PCL-Bacolod president

COUNCILOR Renecito Novero was elected president of the Philippine Councilors’ League (PCL)–Bacolod City Chapter, September 4.

The election, which was followed by an oath-taking ceremony, was held at the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) Session Hall of the Bacolod City Government Center.

PCL National secretary-general Beethoven Bermejo led the conduct of the election, with the Department of the Interior and Local Government – Bacolod City director Ma. Joy Maredith Madayag acting as PCL’s Comelec officer.

Aside from Novero, other newly elected PCL-Bacolod Chapter officials were Councilor Ana Marie Palermo—vice president; Councilor Archie Baribar—secretary-general; Councilor Dindo Ramos—auditor; Councilor Al Victor Espino—business manager; Councilor Israel Salanga—PRO (public relations officer); and Councilors Bartolome Orola Sr. and Simplicia Distrito as directors.

Councilors Elmer Sy and Ayesha Joy Villaflor were also present during the election.

Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran administered the oath-taking of the newly elected officers. (PR)
