Ang House Bill 3874 ni Garcia, nagtumong nga tangtangon na kining travel tax nga anaa sa P1,620 alang sa economy passengers ug P2,700 alang sa first class passengers.
“I’d like to invite you to get involved. It will make our work so much easier if there’s pressure from the public, there’s support from the public for the passage of the abolition of the travel tax. Talk to your congressman, send an email, share, post on Facebook that you are in support of the bill,” si Garcia sa iyahang interview sa SunStar Quick Talk.

“If they say that travel is a right but why do you tax it if it’s a right, i think this should go,” si Garcia nagkanayon.
Gibutyag usab niini nga ang gobyerno nagdawatan na og tax gikan sa airline fare sa mga mobiyahe.
“Tieza, which is the main recipient of the proceeds of the travel tax, has, sometime last year, issued a statement that they are willing to replace the travel tax with a fee—a departure fee of P500,” si Garcia nagkanayon.
Niadtong 2017, niabot sa P5.63 bilyon ang nakolekta gikan sa travel taxes.
Gibahin kini sa tulo diin 50% mipaingon sa Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority, 50% alang sa Commission on Higher Education, ug 10% ngadto sa National Commission for Culture and the Arts.
