THE Ateneo de Davao University (Addu) secondary girls futsal team clinched the gold medal Thursday, September 5, while its elementary boys basketball squad advanced to Friday’s finals of the Davao Association of Catholic Schools (Dacs) Meet 2019.

With veteran coaches Rachelle “Ching” delos Reyes and Celina Simone Jaldon at the helm, the Ateneo Lady Blue Knights thrashed all their four rivals in the single round robin format tournament.

Ateneo crushed Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC), 10-0, at the S.I.R. Phase 2 Bucana covered court yesterday after whipping San Pedro College, 11-0, University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC), 13-0, and Holy Cross College of Calinan (HCCC), 6-0.

Coach Delos Reyes said its their sixth consecutive Dacs title. Her team was powered by goalies Juliana Del Mundo and Gretl Margarethe Tan, team captain Denise Angela Diamante,

Shanelle Charllyne Ostan, Simone Abellana, Akia Domini Cayabyab, Jasmine Cassandra Agustin, Bianca Henieza Sabate

Isabelle Renee Taojo, Alessandra Ysabel Aquino, Kyana Alexandra Dimaandal and Xyra Bravo.

The Lady Blue Knights will represent Unit 6 to the upcoming Davao City Athletic Association (Dcaa) Meet 2019.

Meanwhile, the Ateneo elementary boys dribblers crushed Philippine Women’s College (PWC) Patriots, 79-15, at San Pedro College (SPC) Ulas to barge into the basketball finals against a still undetermine opponent as other semis match was still playing as of Thursday.

Ateneo earlier posted a 75-4 blowout win over Our Lady of Fatima Academy (Olfa) after routing HCDC, 83-21, and St. Peter College of Toril (SPCT), 79-25.

The team was composed of twin brothers John Brendan and Jake Brendan Alpapara, Al-zaki Ameer O. Sangki, Theodore Emmanuel G.Zamora, Julian Joaquin L. Garcia, Heaven S. Pigar, Astin Parker P. Sañano, Oscar Geraldo, Rowe Isaac Tavita, Angelo James Jesuro, Alfonso Castañeda, Abram Kyle C. Amaneo, Jalf C. Pitulan, John Wayne Cabanalan and Gian Matthew A. Bullecer.
