P657-K shabu seized in Bacolod

AN ESTIMATED P657,000 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in separate drug bust operations of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in Bacolod City yesterday morning.

The operation also led to the arrest of the three drug personalities identified as Mary Rose Santillan, Ely John Deslate, and Erika Shane Conado, all from Bacolod City.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said Santillan was arrested by operatives of City Drugs Enforcement Unit (CDEU) after she sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover at Purok Mahimulaton, Barangay Banago at about 3 a.m.

Police recovered from Santillan’s possession 11 sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P600,000, the P1,000 marked money, and a black box.

Deslate and Conado were also arrested by operatives of Police Station 4 at Purok Chereza, Barangay 27 at about 1:35 a.m.

Police recovered from the suspects’ possession were eight sachets of shabu with estimated market value of P57,000, and the P500 marked money.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facilities of Police Stations 3 and 4 and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
