BUILDRITE, Boysen Paints and the Cebu Home Builders advanced to the semifinals of the Cebu Architects Basketball Club 3rd Corporate Cup after they defeated their respective opponents in the quarterfinals on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, at the Cebu Eastern College gym.
Buildrite ousted Pioneer Pro, 105-86, thanks to Michael Cinco, who exploded for 31 points, seven rebounds and eight assists. Wilfredo Lastimosa added 14 points while Jason Cinco had 12 markers.
Meanwhile, Boysen Paints came back from an early double-digit deficit and took down Davies Paints, 89-75. Ralph Catugas had 22 points and seven boards while Jonas Panerio added 21 markers, nine rebounds and three assists.
Dexsel Caadan had 19 points and 10 rebounds while Pido Sanchez put up 17 markers, five rebounds, five assists and four steals in Boysen’s win.
In the other game, the Cebu Home Builders also downed Landlite, 96-86, as Chad Go poured in 22 points.
Venur Villamor put up 19 points while Chester Hinagdanan chipped in 18 points.
Living to fight for another day was Team IEE after beating AAC Lightstrong, 76-73.
Veteran forward Montecris de Salvador led IEE with 25 points. The two teams will duke it out for the last semifinal slot on Sunday at the same venue. (JNP)
