THE Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) of Negros Occidental is banking on its harmonization project positioned to boost the delivery of veterinary services in the province.

All PVO personnel, including those in provincial farms and district field units, recently gathered for a one-day harmonization activity, which is aligned with the Abanse Negrense development agenda of the Provincial Government.

The harmonization emphasizes the capability of every division composing the organization.

During the activity, division heads were reminded to perform their technical and administrative powers over their respective personnel especially those assigned in district field units providing frontline services.

Functions of each division were harmonized in terms of delivery of veterinary services including livelihood, production as well as animal health and research.

Division heads are also reminded to conduct constant mentoring and coaching to field personnel especially district veterinarians.

Field personnel, on the other hand, were given the opportunity to raise their concerns affecting implementation of PVO programs and projects.

They were, then, able to design strategic approach for efficient and effective delivery of various services.

The PVO, in a statement, said the activity has addressed the need to harmonize for a sustainable and effective delivery of services.

Also, it enabled veterinary personnel to reconnect and reunite in attaining one goal, mission and vision.

"Our aim is to touch the lives of the Negrenses particularly the livestock and poultry raisers," it added. (EPN)
