THE Laus Group of Companies (LGC) added another feather in its hat with the grand opening of its newest auto dealership, the Hyundai Trucks and Buses, in Baliwag, Bulacan Tuesday morning, September 10.

The Hyundai Trucks and Buses Baliwag, which is situated along the Doña Remedios Trinidad Highway in Baliwag, is LGC's second commercial vehicle dealership after that in Clark Freeport that opened in July 2018.

According to dealership principal and LGC chairman Lisset Laus-Velasco, the opening of the commercial vehicle section in Baliwag is a response to the sustained economic development being experienced in the town and its neighboring areas.

"The existence of several businesses such as restaurants, hotels and agriculture-related ones, as well as the presence of Baliwag Bus Transit here, and the ongoing construction of the airport in Bulacan is an indication that there is a demand for our product. Now, we are glad to say that we can finally serve them, our dear clientele," she said.

Laus-Velasco also noted that the conglomerate's venture to the commercial vehicle segment is in line with her late father LGC chairman and founder Levy P. Laus's continuing advocacy and commitment of spurring development and inclusive growth in the countryside.

"The Laus Group of Company carries on the legacy of our father of countryside development by partnering with government, business groups and other major stakeholders to provide opportunities that will benefit the people, among them the expansion of the business here in Baliwag," she added.

Hyundai Asia Resource Inc. (Hari) president and chief executive officer Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo said the opening of the brand's trucks and buses segment marks a milestone for Hari and the Baliwag dealership.

She recalled how Hyundai brand first opened its passenger cars segment back in 2011 from its original home nearby its current location, until it relocated into a better facility, and now its expansion to the commercial vehicle section.

"From eight years ago, we have grown by leaps and bounds in our passenger cars segment because of the warm welcome of the people of Bulacan, particularly here in Baliwag. And we believe that the trucks and buses segment will also provide the same automotive service that the people here want to experience," Perez-Agudo said.

Among the products offered by Hyundai Trucks and Buses include cab and chassis, dropside deck, dry van, insulated van, wing van, with dump body and garbage truck for light-duty and transport and construction; cab and chassis, tractor head, mixer truck and with deck for heavy-duty transport and construction; and the mini and full-capacity buses for passenger transport.

Aside from the diverse automotive products in both the passenger cars and commercial vehicle segments, Laus-Velasco also assured Hyundai customers of the quality after-sales service offered by the Baliwag dealership.

"The LausGroup takes pride in the kind of after-sales service we provide to our customers. We believe that the Best After-Sales Operations of the Year award given to Hyundai Baliwag last year and the years before is a testament to that," she said.
