Kafagway’s Wadasen top bills 5th Juan MMA challenge

KAFAGWAY mixed martial arts (MMA) rising star Daryle Wadasen will make his pro debut September 14 in Tagum City.

Wadasen will see action in the main event of the 5th Juan Mixed Martial Arts Fighting Challenge under Dr. Angelito Manguray Promotions and the Radyo ni Juan Network which will be held at the Tagum Trade and Cultural Center Pavilion.

Daryle, a native of Acop, Tublay, will test another promising MMA star Pepito Masangkay of Davao City in his professional debut at 135 pounds.

According to Kafagway MMA coach Bryan Olod, the 19–year–old phenom is undefeated in his amateur MMA fights and has won a silver medal in the 2018 National Muaythai Championship in Pasig City and a champion in the Amazing Kickboxing Challenge.

Olod added Wadasen is currently a member of the Philippine Kickboxing Team and a graduating student of Tublay School of Home Industries (Grade 12).

In the co-main event, La Trinidad’s Roy Menzi Jr. of Team Builders who holds a record of four victories and one defeat squares off against Camilo Ry Seneres of Team Mumma Fight Club in Makati City.

In the second co-main event, Jopito Masangkay of Iflex Spartam in Davao City takes on Maico Fernandez of Team Mumma from Cagayan de Oro City.

Five amateur bouts will also see action in the evening featuring Jay Jusay against Dexter Ordaniza, Nard Tancontian and Jelo Bacalso and Melchor Gaborno taking on Jay Verdadero.

Also in the undercard is the match–up between Marlon Cruzpero and Jeruel Basco dela Torre and Dennis Quiñonero against Mark Antholene Balaba.
