THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) 7 recently held an orientation to more than 20 on-the-job training students.

As part of the DSWD’s student training program, the orientation aims to educate the students on the programs and services of the department.

In the orientation, Jennefer Dagaas—focal person of the student training program—presented the agency’s vision, mission, and its different programs and services. The students were from Cebu City schools.

“She explained to us what the DSWD programs and services are. She told us that the DSWD has programs and services for abused women, abandoned and neglected children,” said John Lester Carunggay, an intern assigned at the DSWD’s Sustainable Livelihood Program.

The orientation ended with a tour to the different offices in the DSWD 7 compound in Barangay Carreta, Cebu City.
