ELEVEN suspected drug pushers were arrested by the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Cordillera during its two-week operations in the region.
In a checkpoint in Ifugao, Amiel Chua Mercado, 24, student, a resident of Banggut, Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya, was arrested in front of Lamut Municipal Police Station in Poblacion West, Lamut on September 8.
Confiscated from Mercado were four elongated form of suspected dried marijuana stalks with leaves and fruiting tops, three containers of suspected dried marijuana stalks, and five containers with suspected dried marijuana. The illegal drugs had an estimated Dangerous Drug Board value of P240,000.
In a drug bust, 10 individuals were separately caught after transacting with one of the operatives who posted as a poseur-buyer.
Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) separately arrested six pushers in the Summer Capital in separate operations, leading to the confiscation of eight sachets of shabu, undisclosed amount of dried marijuana leaves and other drug paraphernalia.
In Kalinga, shabu dealers Reynaldo Viloria Esguerra, 54, and "Lallaine" were apprehended on Jose Abad Santos St., Laya East, Tabuk City on September 7.
Another suspect, Jeston Talay Gayawet, was arrested in Purok 4, Bulanao, Tabuk City on September 5.
Confiscated from Esguerra and Lallaine were one sachet of shabu and two live ammunition for caliber .45 pistol, while two heat-sealed transparent sachets of shabu, P1,000 drug bust money, and drug paraphernalia were seized from Gayawet.
A drug dealer identified as Jerico Millare Pariñas, 23, a resident of Bangued, Abra, was arrested on Rizal St., Zone 7, Bangued, Abra on September 5.
Confiscated from Pariñas were three plastic sachets of shabu, P1,000 buy-bust money, two cellular phones, and P1,240 cash.
Arnold Novida Ynzon, 40, a resident of Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet, was also arrested in Pico, La Trinidad on September 4. He yielded two plastic sachets of shabu, one cellular phone and P1,000 drug bust money.
