FASHION is a popular aesthetic expression in a certain time and context, especially clothing, footwear, lifestyle, accessories makeup hairstyle, and body proportions, but personally who cares about fashion in Baguio City? Well, I do because Baguio has the kind of weather where it is the best place to be garbed up like what we see on the pages of fabulous fashion magazines.

I was out of the country for almost 16 years just to pursue my passion for fashion when I started my career way back ages ago.

Being a fabric designer in Doha Qatar, I was trained to design fabrics, combine colors and embellish them to create an art piece for royalties. After which I was trained to the tailoring lab where I learned how to work with the master cutter, skillful tailors and amazing bead workers. I’ve learned a lot that making an outfit is not just cut and paste thing it’s a collaborative work to come up with an amazing creation fit for the rich and famous.

Being there was such an experience where you join fashion shows, dinner galas, trunk shows fashion exhibitions where it is globally done.

I returned to Baguio equipped with the tasteful things I have learned that’s why I thought of coming up with this column and collaborate with fashion enthusiast to show what’s new and innovative in fashion.

I would be featuring designers their works and creation, I will cover styling tips and personal opinions on tackling the art of dressing up it would be exciting because I would be doing before and after make overs from millennial down to seniors.

Collaborating with various stylists to dress up and makeup for you readers to enjoy and learn from my column every week.

Baguio Fashion is very eclectic in the sense that dressing up is such fun in the city since we can wear anything fashionable, with vast sources of clothes from designers’ clothes to the pre-loved outfits namely the ukay.

Baguio people now a days dress up for anything, any occasion people of Baguio are sophisticated and cultured.

I think clothing is transformative. When you put something in so many ways, were always playing a form of dressing up-its just a grownup, much chicer version of it is nice to be able to be whoever you want to be.

We all want to be little glamorous, a little playful and a little mischievous at times.

But I think dressing up is most of the time designer muse relationship where in putting a design for someone having the right fit right accessories, and if placed in the wrong person he/she will end up on the disaster list.

Your personal style is a reflection of your attitude and personality. Our clothes are outer image, an image that sends a signal to the world before we have a chance to speak. Truth be told, it is our clothes, our body language and our grooming part that people judge us on instantly. Surely, first impressions last. We should give a little more attention to how we dress and make sure our clothes are saying what we want to convey about us.

The clothes that you wear and how you wear them are governed by many factors: age, built, lifestyle, environment, budget culture and personal preferences.

The way you project yourself maybe influenced by your upbringing, the way others want to see you, or even by a misguided approach to how you see yourself.

Knowing your style personality will give you the foundation on which to project yourself in a more organized, consistent and distinctive way and feel comfortable and confident in your own outfit whatever the occasion is.
