THE Davao Lady Lawyers Association (Dallas), a group of lady lawyers from Davao Region, eyes around 1,200 runners to participate in the series of fun run it is organizing which will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2019.
The “Run for Lady Justice” will be the group’s major fundraising event which will benefit the residents of the Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC), a child-caring institution which is run by the Department of Social Welfare and Development 11 that provide services to abandoned, neglected and/or surrendered children aged 0 to 6 years old.
Other beneficiaries also include the women at Maa City Jail.
Lawyer Dimpna Dulay, Dallas core president, said almost half of the proceeds of the event will go to their beneficiaries which they believe would ease their financial burden.
“Also part of the proceeds will be used to hold series of lectures to our identified beneficiaries,” she said.
The run will start in Roxas Boulevard, Davao City and will finish at different points, depending on the category.
Registration fees also differ for each category with 10K at P700, 5k at P500, 3K at P300 and 1K (kids category) at P300. Registration fee is inclusive of singlet, race bib, raffle coupon, top finisher’s trophy, and medal.
There will be pre-registration to be held at the office of the Supreme Student Council of Jose Maria College of Law.
