ALMOST two decades in the making, the new D-MAX LS-A represents Isuzu’s place as a formidable force with experience in innovation in the automobile manufacturing industry.

The latest iteration of the premium pick-up introduced by Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC) is designed for the modern driver, one that toggles between both the urban city life and the occasional off-road adventure.

“The new Isuzu D-MAX LS-A joins the ranks of premium pick-ups with its stylish yet functional design and competitive pricing without compromising the D-MAX’s core value of being ‘Tough Enough for Anything,’” explained IPC president Hajime Koso in a press release.

On the outside, the D-MAX LS-A is modern with a tough edge—a dark gray front grille and bumper, a side step board and rocker panel and cargo extender and roof rails.

The D-MAX is highly regarded as a fuel-efficient diesel vehicle. Powering the LS-A is a 4JJ1-TCX 3.0-liter four-cylinder In-line Blue Power Diesel engine with VGS turbo intercooler that offers both power and fuel efficiency.

For now, the LS-A is only available in the 4x4 variant, however, a 4x2 variant will be rolling out in the coming months. Both of these variants will come with either six-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift or the six-speed manual transmission with gear shift indicator.

Both the driver and passengers are spoiled beyond comfort and convenience with interior features such as an auto-climate control air conditioning system, passive entry/push start-stop system, a 12V accessory socket, three USB charging ports, 15 storage compartments and 10 cup holders. This guarantees anyone in the car, wherever seated, has a comfortable ride.

Color options for the D-MAX LS-A are Cosmic Black, Sapphire Blue, Titanium Silver, Red Spinel, Splash White and Silky Pearl White.
