AC prime village projects P42-M general fund in 2020

ANGELES CITY -- Leaders of the city’s entertainment village, Barangay Balibago, has projected P42,749,442 for its general fund next year.

During an annual investment plan consultation recently, Barangay Chairman Tony Mamac said that the residents will expect more projects with the village’s budget.

“Expect more projects and provisions of additional frontline services for our constituents,” Mamac said.

During the event, a public consultation and review of Balibago’s proposed 2020 Annual Investment Plan was conducted.

Mamac said non-government organizations, frontline service providers, and other concerned groups participated in the hearing.

“Notable to our Special Purposes Appropriations (SPA), Mandatory Obligations is the allocation of P800,000 for our senior citizens, which is equivalent to two percent of our general fund,” the village chief added.

Balibago has a vibrant night life with a number of fine dining restaurants, shopping malls, and a casino along MacArthur Highway. Fields Avenue, also known as Walking Street, has the main bar strip.

Mamac thanked Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) City Director Martin Porres B. Moral, represented by Luz Madlangbayan and City Planning and Development Office head Mignette C. Henson, for supporting the consultation.

The barangay chief also thanked Congressman Carmelo “Jonjon” Lazatin II and Chief of Staff Raffy Angeles for gracing the event.
