Kekert: A range of events

A REFRESHINGLY tropical Flamingo-themed birthday party for Abigail Rivera (daughter of Roy and Katherine), who turned six years old, took place at the Rica’s Café of The Henry hotel. Surrounded by her family and friends from school, everyone had a blast at this little exotic wonderland! Happy Birthday, dear Abigail, and may you have many more to come!

Welcoming the newest residents in town: The Coppins! Lina from Indonesia and husband Sten from Belgium, together with their son Sander, have recently settled into Cebu and at the same time, await another addition to their growing family. A surprise baby shower hosted by Jean Wood at her family residence in Talamban was attended by a group of ladies to celebrate the upcoming birth of a new baby girl, Clara Sophia Coppin. Congratulations, Lina and Sten!

Locally sourced all-natural, high quality ingredients without any preservatives, charred perfectly on the outside but juicy on the inside—that’s how it’s done at Three Guys and a Grill! Its recent opening was graced by its founders, “The Three Guys,” Duncan Gates, Tom Thurnherr and Pepper Teehankee (a Swiss, Kiwi and Filipino), and run and managed by Cebu partner Jai Mauro. Situated along Escario St., Cebu City. Its best sellers include the Posh Dog (a German Pork Bratwurst) created with grilled onions, truffle honey mustard sauce and organic cheese, and the Tommy Burger, made with pure beef and the Three guys special sauce in a toasted potato bun, served with thick-cut fries or hand-made three color chips. The tagline? “Grilled right for you!”

Marking her very special day, organized by her husband Shige and daughter Ema, birthday celebrant Kumiko Onda looked as stunning as ever as she was surrounded by her nearest and dearest at Tavolata along A.S. Fortuna St., Mandaue City. For this pink-themed dinner event (pink happens to be Kumiko’s favorite color), lovely details included pink champagne, pink flowers and other pink decor to match. What a beautiful evening. Happy, happy birthday, dear Kumiko!
