JET Engay topped the 2nd Agdao U-14 Chess Tournament that was held on March 6 in Agdao, Davao City.
Engay amassed four points to outscore Raymondwill Mirantes and Joerlz Gimony, who ended up with 3.5 points each to share second and third spots. Cash prizes were handed out to the top finishers.
Bhing Joel Gimony emerged the top boy performer, while Ella Moulic was named the best girl performer.
The sponsor for the cash prizes is Agdao barangay kagawad Remedios dela Luz. The trophy was given by Davao City Councilor Samuel Bangoy. (CRAM)
