Watsons eyes expansion to more communities

IN A bid to boost its presence nationwide, leading retailer of beauty and health brands, Watsons, revealed that it plans to expand its stores even to community areas in addition to its mall and online stores.

Watson's head of Trade and Health Rafael Lim said the establishment of their street level stores is their way to go to provide more accessibility to all types of their clients who need their products.

"Everything has the same price, same assortment, walang pinagkaiba, location lang," Lim said of their products in their community stores.

He said with this, they are giving their pharmacists regular modular trainings so that they could be able to counsel and advise their clients especially in the community areas how to properly take their medications prescribed by their doctors.

Lim also disclosed that their own online store has just been launched last July. Unlike before where their clients can only access their products through their partner online stores Lazada and Shopee, this time, their clients can "Click and Collect" for their purchases at the watsons.com.ph.

"We always try to seek and understand the needs of our customers," he said.

In its 17 years in the Philippines, Watsons has already established 19 stores in Davao Region, 65 stores in Mindanao, and 781 in the Philippines.
